Dear Patient

You came in our Hospital in order to be curedWe tenderly welcome you and we  wish

you  fast re-establishment of your health.

Doctors, nurses  and the rest  personnel of our hospital, will try  to  make your stay here

 as much pleasant as possible  and they will  help in your recovery. 

We thank you  for the confidence   you show us and we  wish you  short  recovery. 

 

Reception and  import

Your import in our Hospital was connected with certain questions for you  or your

relatives, something for which we request your comprehension. 

As in all services,  nothing can be done without the formal procedures.

Data you were asked are necessary for the processing of all administrative needs.  Your data register, your insurance card and the precondition  actions for the  arrangement of the hospital expenses etc, are necessary terms the hospital operation.  

Details for this procedure  were given to you or you can ask for them to  the Admissions Office.

Important  Recommendations

The space for each hospitalized person  is of course limited. Thus, we request if you bring with you personal articles, be sure they are absolutely necessary for your stay here, such as:

Toilette Articles : Toothbrush,  toothpaste,  comb,  towels, shavers   etc.  Clothing:  Nightgowns, robes,  slippers.

Objects of value and important cash amounts should be given to  your relatives. You can also leave them to the  Administration after receiving proof of  receipt.

In this case you can ask the head of Department. For the loss of objects of value that has not been deposited in the administration, the Hospital  does not undertake any  responsibility.

In the patient's ward you have a wardrobe in your disposal. The use of various instruments that are located around your bed will be demonstrated to you by  the nursing personnel (light, bell for nurse, radio etc). In the ward, also exist a  washing basin and a shower.

 Visitors

They are welcome when they come at visiting- hours. The visiting Hours are:

Saturday and Sunday 11.00 - 19.00 and all  other days 13.00 -19.00

Visitors are prohibited the rest of visiting hours.

Visits that are pleasant for you, can be very tiresome for the other patients. Thus, you  yourself should not  allow in  your ward, and in particular the same hour, the stay of a  big number of relatives or friends. If you can get up from  your bed, it is suggested to meet your acquaintances at the waiting room that  exist in each department.

The visit of small children should be avoided and when this is necessary children should always  be under surveillance  

Exclusive nurse, can be asked by the Clinic supervisor and after  approval of the Director of the Clinic.

Medical care 

Responsible  for your treatment in our Hospital is   the doctor. It is possible that you are also under the supervision of more doctors. You  should confide them  as well as their therapeutic methods. Their effort aims at your own fast recovery, thus, their advices and their directives should be acceptable. All doctors of your clinic are always willing to answer to all your questions regarding your  illness and  methods of treatment.

Your relatives that wish to learn about the course of your health can be informed at the director’s Office of the Clinic, daily hours 13.30 until  14.30.

Nursing care is at the nurse’s hands. They take care of your health and the application of medical commands. When you have personal problems or when you need help or advice, your nurse will always listen to you and will try to assist you. You can also ask nurses for a social server. The nursing personnel works in shifts, thus  you will not be always under the care of the same nurses.

Foreigner medicines are not allowed for your own interest unless you consulted before your doctor. If you take various medicines without the knowledge of your doctor, serious problems may appear concerning your health and they could limit up, to an important degree, the success of your treatment.

Nutrition is a part of your treatment and is given based on  medical and scientific  rules.  Required diet,   should be kept and visitors should not temptate you to eat food that is not included in the diet.

Telephone-radio-television

Cardphones  they exist in all waiting rooms  of the  Hospital and in other areas. Your relatives can communicate  with you via the Nurse Station  telephone.  Television and radio use in the ward is allowed upon Clinic Director’s approval  and the patients of your ward.

Restaurant-cafeteria

In the ground floor of the main building, and at the end of central corridor, functions restaurant-cafeteria for the visitors.

Alpha Bank

At the underground floor A1,  functions Alpha Bank  from 08.00 until 14.00 and ATM for 24 hours.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas  of the  Hospital and more specifically in the patient’s wards. Contravention of this direction recommends for patients  disciplinary discharge.

Tips

Patient and visitors should know that Hospital’s personnel does not accept any form of  tips since the benefit of health services constitutes obligation of the state and duty of functionals that provides them, something for which they also gets paid . Each effort for tipping recommends offence and is persecuted both the one that tries to tip and also the one that accepts the  tip.

Discharge

Your discharge of the Hospital is decided by the doctor, when you have become well and you don’t  need further medical care.

Before you leave the Hospital, we request to  give back to  the nurse all the objects that belong in the Hospital and to  deliver the ward and its installations and appliances as received.

Do not forget also to receive the objects of value or the sum of money that you had delivered to the administration.

The premature interruption of hospitalization without consent of the doctor has as consequence that the patient, with written statement, will undertake the complete responsibility for the consequences.

The discharge and security card  will be given back to you  from the Admission Office.  

 

Patient’s Rights 

The patient has the right of care benefit with the proper respect for his human dignity.

* The patient has the right to accept or deny each diagnostics or therapeutic action that is about to be held to him. 

*  The  patient has the right to ask information from  the responsible doctor, about the state of his health. 

* The patient or his representative, has the right to be informed completely and  a priori, for the dangers may arise by the  application to him of  extraordinary experimental diagnostic and therapeutic actions. 

* The patient has the right of the information concerning his medical records, notes and discoveries are kept confidential.

* The patient has the right of respect and recognition in his religious and ideological convictions. 

* The patient has the right of approach all services of the Hospital, most suitable for the nature of his illness. 

* The patient has the right to deposit relevantly  complains  and to be informed completely of the action taken and their results. 

 

Patient’s Obligations

 Facilitate the work of doctors and health professionals, informing them, for any changes in your health and for the medicines you likely took, before the import. 

 Respect the rights of other patients. 

 Ask explanations for the diagnosis and your hospitalization. 

 Follow the obligations that arise from the Hospital Regulations.

  By your import in the Hospital, you should  bring identification card and Security card. Attention: The hospitalization expenses will be undertaken by patients themselves, in case ticket admittance from their Insurance does not exist.

 The patient, or his attendant, before discharge, should go to the Admission Office in order to receive his discharge note.   

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.   Import to the Hospital begins from Outpatient's Department where a double import ticket is issued by the responsible Doctor.  

2.   One copy is given to Admission Office and the other to the Supervisor of the Clinic.

3.   Insured to IKA, OGA, or Public Sector, should bring with them their security card   the day of their import or the next day.

4.  For the rest insurances, a medical opinion is given by their import in order for the import ticket to be issued by their Insurance which they give to the Admission Office.

5.   Attendants should mention their contact phone number to the supervisor of the clinic. 

6.    By the end of Hospitalization the Supervisor of the Clinic   gives to the patient a double discharge ticket which they give to Admission Office for legalization and invoicing, one copy of which is given back to the supervisor.

THE HOSPITAL SHOULD ALWAYS RESPECT THE PERSONAL OPINION, THE RIGHTS AND THE VALUES OF EACH PATIENT, IF PATIENT AND ATTENDANT  RESPECT THE HOSPITAL, BEST RESULTS WILL BE ACHIEVED.
